HOW TO USE THE ACID TESTING KIT: To test for karat content or purity, scratch the item on to the test stone leaving a visible deposit and place a small drop of the acid over top of deposit.
if gold is the same karat or higher the deposit will not be affected.
if the deposit is of lower karat, the deposit will dissolve.
for platinum and silver repeat the same process.
if the material is platinum, the deposit will not be affected.
if silver material is of high quality, the solution will turn red.
