It will do well in soggy areas and around water features and ponds. Uncinia Firedance will brighten the rock garden, mixed border, and it also looks great in containers. How To Grow Hook Sedge From Ornamental Grass Seeds: Many gardeners grow Uncinia rubra seeds in a cold frame for protection and hardiness. Start Sedge seeds in the late winter or early spring.
