Waterproof: This f150 3rd brake light includes 1pc foam gasket and is generally waterproof. Please kindly put a little silicone or some clear RTV all around the light and the screw holes just in case it leaks into the light or where the wires are.
Note: This 3rd break light is plug and play with 1 plug. If your tail light has three plugs, please kindly do some wiring work too make it work,thanks.

About the cargo lights: 1. The red lights come on with the brake, and the white lights come on when you turn on the interior dome lights.
2. Please note that the two outer white lights are not reverse lights. They are controlled by your interior light switch. We call it Cargo Lights.
3. if your truck originally has no cargo lights, please run a wire from the dome light to the connector, and it will work.
